Black and Gold

I went for a (brief) jog this morning, and played with my dog. Starting the day off with some exercise really does make you feel good all day. Too bad I'm so incredibly out of shape that my face decided it wanted to take on this beautiful tomato red shade. Real cute.

Anyhoozle, this shirt is a shiny gold mesh thing in person and says "Avon fashions" on the label, har har. I thrifted it a while back and I know its super tacky (as is my theme apparently) but I love it nonetheless. To compile the tack, I wore it with a red "lips" necklace last time! I know, I know...

Its funny though, I wore this shirt to the Kaplan center in downtown SJ, definitely the most obnoxiously dressed person there. Its ok, I don’t think they take me seriously over there anyway. What can ya do?

Pink Foil

These shoes are so funny to me. They almost look like house slippers. In person the color is quite pretty, its like a blush/pink, and they're metallic! They’re a bit over the top, but that’s what attracted me to them!

Anyway, I've had this sweater since last summer, but I've only worn it once. I'm not sure why, I think because its quite impractical for winter (obviously) and too bulky to layer with. I also never wear these shoes, its a bit hard to make them work.

On a side note, I ended up wearing earrings with this outfit, in an attempt to be less "simple"...really exciting, I know. They're little teal roses. Sadly, I didn't get a picture with them.

Casual Saturday

I could really get used to this nice weather. Its quite perfect for filmy shirts and light cardigans. I've noticed, in the short amount of time I've had this blog, that my style tends to be very simple, not very cluttered. I don't think that's necessarily because my aesthetic preference is simple, I think I might just be lazy. Either that or I don't spend enough time putting together my outfits, I usually just grab whats within reach and head out the door. I'm going to try to change that, I think its about time.

Anyhoo, I wore this for a day at home with my crazy/wonderful family. I am now on my out to grab some coffee and study!!! Woo hoo for flashcards!!!

Starfish!

Its warm outside and I'm wearing a minty green shirt and pastel pink lipstick (although you can't see it in the picture). I'm not much of a make-up person, my daily routine (on days I'm not too lazy) consists of blush, eyeliner/mascara, and chap stick/gloss. Lipstick, therefore, is a stretch for me. I'll usually wear it out of the house, decide I look stupid, and wipe if off in the car. Recently, however, I've been experimenting with red and bright pink for evening. This pale pink feels pretty safe though, so here I go, living on the wild side! Anyway, this weather is definitely spring! Also, I don’t know why it looks like I’m tying my shoes, they don’t have laces!

Floral Denim!

I love this dress, something about eighties looking floral denim really gets me. I did not, however, end up wearing it this way. I’ve had it since last summer, but haven’t quite figured out how to wear it without tights and a cardigan. I think it was meant for a more petite girl. Or, perhaps one with a smaller chest, so it could be worn lower? Does that make sense? Probably not.

Slacking

ok, so I've been busy studying/working/slacking off lately, and have neglected this blog :(

Harry Potter

I walked out of the house today, and my neighbor commented that I resembled a certain boy wizard. Thank you for that self esteem boost! It may not look like it in the picture, but its been raining here all day!
